This site has been created by Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum which has a nationally-important collection on the Arts & Crafts Movement in Britain.

Building for a new future continues on the exciting redevelopment of the Art Gallery & Museum, expected to be re-opening mid 2013. This expansive rebuilding work is the result of a successful bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund.

    New Season of Collections Unwrapped Talks for 2013

    The Friends of Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum are continuing their programme of regular monthly talks designed to stimulate and maintain interest in the famous Cheltenham Collections.  These talks are being given by past and present curators and other acknowledged experts.

    The spring talks all focus on the new development Building for a new future and the collections that will be on show in the new displays.  They will be held on the first Thursday of the month.

    The first talk will be Re-interpreting the Arts and Crafts collection: mobile phone apps, the new Arts and Crafts gallery and the Open Archive on the 10 January 2013 by Kirsty Hartsiotis, Curator of Decorative Arts and Designated Collections.
