At Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum Arts and Crafts Museum

This site has been created by The Wilson, Cheltenham's art gallery & museum which has a nationally-important collection on the Arts & Crafts Movement in Britain.

The Wilson, Cheltenham's art gallery & museum re-opened to the public on the 5th October 2013, after a major new build costing in the region of £6 million. The rebuild included a major redevelopment of the gallery spaces showcasing the Arts and Crafts Movement Collection, allowing for a greater selection of Arts and Crafts furniture pieces to be displayed and temporary themed displays highlighting aspects of the collection.

The Paper Store: a new gallery for The Wilson

The Wilson Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum has opened a brand new gallery that allows visitors to delve into new displays of the Museum’s extensive archive collections that tell the story of the town and its people, and the Arts and Crafts designers and makers who settled in Gloucestershire.  The Paper Store features the Museum’s paper collections, many of which will be on display for the first time.
